Preparing Your Home For Cold Weather-Part 2

Part Two of our “Three Part Series” of helpful hints on how to keep your house from having some of the typical problems that occur when we don’t prepare it for winter:

~Insulate any water pipes that may be exposed to cold temperatures, this includes pipes under your sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms.
~Make sure all crawl space access doors are closed and insulated.
~Install storm doors and windows.
~Put plastic insulation kits on windows where needed.
~Use caulking and weather-stripping to stop drafts.
