A leaking pipe in the ceiling caused extensive mold growth at a homeless shelter here in Fredericksburg, VA. More that often, a pipe starts with a slow leak that is undetected.  While no one notices, the damage gets worse and worse.  By the time the damage was visible to anyone, mold growth started taking over.
