Here is Part Three of our Three-Part Series on preparing your home for the winter months. Here are some helpful hints you can do to prepare your heating system and conserve energy.
~Have your heating system serviced by a professional, by having a winter tune up.
~Pre-program your thermostat or lower it when you leave home to save on energy.
~Change your furnace filters when needed.
~Insulate your duct lines.
~Run ceiling fans in reverse, clockwise rotation will push the warm air that has pooled at the ceiling down into your living space.
~Have your chimney cleaned and inspected, and your gas logs tested for leaks.
